Healthy data for the organizations doing the good work.

How a visit works

Every engagement follows the same plain-spoken process, whether it's a one-hour question or a multi-month build.

  1. 1

    Intake

You email me what's going on. We set up a free call to understand the symptoms.

  2. 2

    Diagnosis

I look at your systems and data and tell you, in plain language, what's actually wrong.

  3. 3

    Treatment plan

You get a written proposal with scope, deliverables, hours, and price before any work starts.

  4. 4

    Follow-up

Documentation, training, and optional office hours so the fix lasts after I leave.

About Josh

I'm Josh Jaeger, a data and systems consultant based in Erie, Pennsylvania. I've spent my career at the intersection of databases and community work — from administering veteran services programs to running CRM and grants management platforms for mission-driven organizations.

My background is in theoretical mathematics, which mostly means I like problems that look messy until you find the structure underneath. Nonprofit data is full of those.

The name came from a client who asked for regular “data doctor” office hours. It stuck, because that's the job: listen to the symptoms, find the cause, and leave things healthier than I found them.

Common questions

What kinds of organizations do you work with?

Nonprofits and grantmakers of all sizes — especially small teams without a dedicated data or IT staff. Community foundations, human services agencies, and community programs are a large part of my work.

Do you only work in Erie?

No. I'm based in Erie, Pennsylvania, and most work happens remotely, so I work with organizations across the country.

How does pricing work?

Projects are scoped up front in a short written proposal with estimated hours and price. Smaller questions can fit into recurring office hours.

Do you do pro bono work?

Yes, a portion of my time goes to pro bono data work for community organizations. Email me and tell me about your project.

Let's talk about your data

Tell me what's not working — a system nobody uses, reports that don't match, a process that eats your week. I'll reply within two business days with next steps.
